Wheaten Marans have a light, golden-wheat coloration.  They lay 4-6 dark brown eggs each week and tend to be calm and docile.  They are named after the town of Marans, France, where the breed was developed.  Wheaten Marans have feathered legs and are very winter hardy. Their dark brown eggs are sure to add interest to your egg basket.
